Benefits of membership
Mayo Sailing Club offers organised racing suitable for all levels every Thursday night (cruisers and keelboats) and Tuesday nights for dinghies during the season. The format is varied in location and race type and split in to three series over the season. Skippers are always looking for additional crew for these races so feel free to get involved.
Cruise in Company events are held throughout during the season to various locations in Clew Bay and are very popular, with the emphasis on the social side of sailing.
Members are welcome to participate Dinghy Sailing on Tuesday evenings during the Summer. The club has a range of dinghies for different levels and interests. The club is an Irish Sailing accredited training centre and various courses are run throughout the season allowing trainees to receive an officially recognized qualification.
The Mayo Sailing Clubhouse is a purpose built facility offering the practicalities of toilets, showers and changing rooms as well as rooms for theory courses and of course a bright and welcoming bar, kitchen and outside patio area. Adjoining sheds, engine and dinghy storage facilities are also provided.
Various social events are organised throughout the season including the annual club visit to and race around Clare Island.
